The Discovery Scuba Diving program (mini diving course) is the entry to discover the underwater world, take a look at it and see if you are interested in taking the PADI training course to obtain your license as either Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver.
To enroll in a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No previous diving experience is necessary, but you do need to be in reasonable physical health.
You'll learn basic safety guidelines and the skills needed for scuba diving under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you're doing an open water dive, you'll practice additional skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. Be prepared for:
Review the diving procedures and equipment you'll use for diving, and how easy it is to move underwater with your equipment.
Experience what it feels like to breathe underwater.
Learn skills to make a safe dive.
Perform an open water dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet)
Have fun swimming and exploring the underwater environment.
Includes: transportation, pool practice, and a dive in the sea to a maximum depth of 12 meters.
Requirements: Minimum age: 10 years and good health conditions.
Duration: 4 hours
Completing the Discover Scuba Diving program does not grant any diving certification; you must wait at least 18 hours of surface interval before taking a flight or ascending to altitudes greater than 300 meters above sea level.
