Take the first step toward exploring the wonderful underwater world with PADI's Open Water Diver program.
STEP 1: PADI E-learning
Knowledge development is the first step and requirement for earning your Open Water Diver certification. PADI eLearning® is an independent study option that allows you to read, watch videos, and take quizzes at your own pace, giving you the foundation you need to confidently advance to in-water training with your Instructor.
STEP 2: Water Training
Confined Water Practices (pool-like environment)
During this step, you'll practice your diving techniques and learn how to use your scuba equipment with a PADI Professional on "mini-dives" in a pool or pool-like environment to help you gain confidence and feel more comfortable before beginning your open water training.
STEP 3: Open Water Training
With your PADI Professional Dive Instructor, you'll complete four open water dives to a depth of 18 m/60 ft for this final step in your recreational Open Water Diver certification.
Includes: transportation, PADI e-learning, confined water training, and 4 ocean dives.
Duration: 3-4 days
Requirements:
Minimum age: 10 years
If you are in good health, you should wait at least 18 hours on the surface before taking a flight or ascending to altitudes greater than 300 meters above sea level.
